Radio Controlled Disaster

After much unsubtle hinting, I got a radio controlled yacht for my birthday. Unfortunately it didn’t fare so well.

Taking the Sea With You

Back on dry land after five days on the boat. Another sunny Tuesday morning walking from Victoria Station.

Tweeting your course

For our forthcoming trip, I’ve been looking for way to plot where we are in realtime. Magdalena is not coming along this time and she’d like to keep up to date with where we’ve got to.

When you post to Twitter, it can automatically update your location. And there’s an iPhone app to send the info to t’Internet. Now I just need a device to plot those posts on a map and ideally show it online.

Cleaning the ropes

Weather’s supposed to be nice today, so all the ropes and the jack stay lines are going into the washing machine.
We’ll stick them in an old pillow case. A friend of ours suggested this – but the jack stays were my extension – they came out nice and clean last April.
